I do not ever want to be the type of person who stops seeing the beauty and relevance of a sunset. The beauty is the glorious burn – the reds, the yellows and the blues. The relevance is that every sunset takes a part of our life with it.
I recently discovered Animoto’s free (yes, free!) iPhone app and I think it is a keeper. The Animoto app allows you to create 30-second shorts by selecting up to 16 photos from your library and then selecting a soundtrack from THEIR library (I’ve discovered new music that I like!). The UI makes the process so easy.
There are a few nice-to-have features that I have in mind (ability to select music from my own library and ability to share to social networks directly from the app) – but given that it is free, I really find it hard to complain.

I went to the circus last night and it was great fun! I remember when I was little, the elephants are what I would look forward to seeing the most. Last night, I noticed how sad they looked. This reminded me of Rachael Yamagata’s song “Elephants”…
If the elephants have past lives
Yet are destined to always remember
It’s no wonder how they scream
This makes me sad. Dear Elephants, thank you for bringing joy to children of all ages!
I’ve been a sucker for jackets lately. It’s obviously perfect for work but what I love most about it is that it allows me to wear my not-work-appropriate-by-themselves tops. My latest purchase is J.Crew’s Tuxedo Jacket in navy – was $228.00 and now on sale for $99.99! There are a myriad of style possibilities with this jacket – denim jeans and shorts (as styled by J.Crew in the photo below), dresses and skirts in print and bold colors, and even sequins! I snapped a photo of how it looks like in real life for the J.Crew aficionados out there who cannot decide if they want to buy this or not.
